Tursus, the most elusive of Thessil’s brothers, remains a mystery to most scholars. Unlike his brothers and sisters, the God of Death and Rebirth has never shown a single mortal his true form. The death he creates always delivered by his envoys who take the form of jackal-headed demons, lithe seductresses, or a swarm of ghostly beetles.
In his tangible absence, his followers are few, some even denying his existence. There are tribes and cults within Hyfaer who call upon Tursus for their power, invoking his name and divinity to resurrect the dead, or spread plague upon their enemies. These cultists and depraved individuals are know in Hyfaer as Tursists. Tursists are not inherently evil by nature, but tend to embrace their chosen god’s power over their mortal souls and that of others.
